We've been attending SEMA since 2010, the year Sunday Slacker Magazine launched. Every year, I tell myself I'm going to see the entire show, from west to east, north to south, top to bottom, and every outdoor lot in between. Easier said than done. Too many conversations with old friends and new faces, catching up on the latest products, snapping photos with automotive legends, and sometimes just staring at one incredible build for far too long. Before you know it, another day is gone and you've barely scratched the surface.

SEMA is a massive gathering of automotive culture and business, attracting more than 130,000 attendees, including over 70,000 buyers and 3,000 media professionals from more than 140 countries. And somewhere in that crowd, you'll find the Slackers from Las Vegas. It's where business gets done, new products are introduced, relationships are built, and the automotive industry comes together for a few days of controlled chaos.

Here are a few photos of rides that might not get as much love as the big-dollar show builds. They're a little different, and that's exactly why they caught our attention. Slammed, patina-covered, polished, lowered, and driven. Not everything needs a six-figure paint job to turn heads.

Tim Beatys 1955 Ford Crown Victoria "Crown Jewel"

1955 Chevrolet Nomad wagon built by Southern Comfort Customs
